Motel Policies
- Check-in time is 2:00 PM and Check-out time is 11:00 AM
- Rates are subject to change without a deposit on an existing reservation
- Rates are based on 2 adults, $15 per person per night is additional (max 4 adults per room)
- Children 12 years of age and under will not require a fee
- Boat dockage is available for registered guests at $2 per foot of the boat per night plus tax (Long term stay discounts available)
- All major credit cards are accepted and we do not charge a credit card processing fee
- No personal or business checks are accepted
- A deposit equal to the first night’s charges with tax is required to make a reservation
- Cancelling requires 2 days prior notice unless the reservation is during a special event or holiday which requires 7 days prior notice
- A $20 fee applies to all cancellations that give appropriate notice; inadequate notice forfeits the first night’s charges
- All cancellations are required to be phoned-in, email is not acceptable
- We do not allow pets at this time

Is Otter Creek Inn open year-round?
Otter Creek Inn offers seasonal lodging from mid-May through mid-October.
What are the office hours?
We are open 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM daily!
Can we check-in when your office is closed?
Yes, you may check-in after office hours by calling our front office for further instructions.
Is there internet provided?
Internet is provided free to our guests; however, we require your usage to avoid streaming. Our bandwidth becomes overloaded with devices that are streaming, and other guests would not be able to use our internet.
Can we use the gas grill at the docks?
Yes, the gas grill, picnic tables and utensils are for the guests to share.
Where can we get ice?
We have small ice baskets that will be filled upon request at the front office. You can also buy bags of ice during office hours.
Can we have more than one vehicle?
No, our parking facilities are limited to one vehicle per guest room.
Can you accommodate boat trailer parking?
No, we cannot accommodate boat trailer parking. The village has recommended boat trailer parking at Carnegie Bay. The front office has further instructions and a map to help assist you to that location or you may choose free trailer parking at our sister property Capt.’s Inn & Suites.
What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in time is 2:00 PM. Check-out time is 11:00 AM. We have a secure key drop box to use if you wish to check-out before our front office is open.
Where are the medical facilities?
River Hospital is less than 0.5 away at 4 Fuller Street.
What do we do in case of fire?
1. Call 911 and report a fire at Otter Creek Inn, 2 Crossmon Street Extension, Alexandria Bay, NY 13607.
2. Evacuate all guests by breaking the glass on the 1st floor alarms
3. Alert owners by ringing the doorbell at the office door
4. If possible, extinguish fire with extinguishers located on 1 and 2 floors
5. Direct fire department to location of fire
How do we get to Boldt Castle and Singer Castle?
Uncle Sam Boat Tours offers a multitude of narrated tours on the St. Lawrence River. They are located at 47 James Street, which is a very short walk (0.4 miles) away.
Are there any golf courses nearby?
There are several golf courses. The Alexandria Bay Municipal Course is 0.6 miles at 111 Walton Street. Wellesley Island has the Wellesley Island State Park Golf Course, The Thousand Islands Country Club has the Old Course and the Lake Course. LA Golf is in Lafargeville, Clayton has the Country Club and C-Way Golf Course and Langbrook Meadows Golf Course is in Brier Hill.

There are many state and local parks. Minna Anthony Nature Center at Wellesley Island State Park and Morgan Island at Kring Point State Park are just a couple. We have walking and hiking trail guides in the office.
